ONLINE CHAIR YOGA
Camille Jakominich of eZENtial Yoga in Moorestown, NJ offers yoga classes that benefit beginner yogis as well as seasoned yogis that need a little more support to complete their yoga practice. The 50-minute classes take place every Sunday morning and Thursday evening on Zoom so that you can perform yoga in the privacy of your own home.
Those who maybe have avoided trying yoga in the past because of balance or strength issues, can perform a modified yoga practice using a chair for support.
While many believe that chair yoga is geared toward older adults, anyone who is challenged with limited stability and balance can also benefit. Chair yoga is a great way to stretch, breathe and build up your strength and balance to gain confidence in your everyday movements.
A chair is used to do all the poses. This helps create stability and strengthens the muscles.
The chair yoga classes are offered every week: Sundays from 9:00 am to 10:00 a.m.; and on Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Camille added yet another class on traditional or mat yoga, which is more rigorous but still geared towards the beginner yogi in mind.The mat yoga class take place on Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m; and on Sundays from 10:00am to 11:00am.
About Camille Jakominich, PTA/RYT 200
Camille started her journey with yoga 12 years ago. Being a naturally curious person, she tried several types of yoga (Bikram, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin and Aerial). She is a mother of 2 boys and stayed home full time for 3 years. She decided to get certified as a yoga instructor through YogaFit. She also has a degree in Physical Therapy as a PTA and have been a practicing therapist assistant for over 20 years. Her experience in Physical Therapy and Yoga have enabled her to make yoga more inclusive to people who may have physical limitations. She has a degree in Psychology which assists in bringing the mind/body connection to the forefront. eZENtial Yoga focuses on the more rehabilitative and restorative benefits of yoga.
